CHP has reopened Interstate 80 after a 29-vehicle crash in snowy conditions near Truckee Sunday.

But officers are warning drivers to remain cautious in the slick conditions.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m.

CHP reported 25 vehicles and four semi-trucks were involved in the wreck.

Officers closed Interstate 80 westbound at the Nevada state line. Eastbound traffic was stopped at Hirschdale Road.

Crews were able to clear the wreckage and reopen all lanes by 6 p.m.

This is the latest in a series of accidents that occurred on Interstate 80 as snow fell throughout the day.

Earlier in the afternoon emergency crews cleared a 10-vehicle crash near Norwood.
