2nd Grizzly Cub Captured at Scene of Fatal Attack

Biologists in Yellowstone National Park have captured a second grizzly bear cub at the scene of an attack in which an adult bear killed a Montana man.

Park spokeswoman Amy Bartlett said Tuesday that the two cubs and their mother, who was captured last week, were being held pending DNA tests on the older bear to determine if it was the culprit.

If so, park officials have said the adult animal will be euthanized out of concern for public safety.

Park officials have said the cubs also could be killed if no place can be found for them in a zoo or animal rehabilitation facility.

Sixty-three-year-old Lance Crosby of Billings was hiking alone and without bear spray when he was fatally attacked last week.
