6 People Found Stabbed to Death in Gage Park, Chicago Home

Six people were found dead at a Gage Park home Thursday afternoon, and police said they were conducting a homicide investigation.

Police were called to the home in the 5700 block of South California Avenue at 1:05 p.m. for a well-being check, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago police spokeswoman. Sources said four men, a female and a child were found dead, and all or some of them had been stabbed.

A man called police after he could not reach his family for several days, a source said.

Fire crews were called to the scene but the six people were all dead and the scene was turned over to police, authorities said.
