After Dodging Feds For 2 Years, Mo’Nique Ordered To Pay $400K In Back Taxes

Mo’Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks allegedly refused to pay taxes in 2013 and 2014, the Daily Mail reports. The federal government reportedly threatened to seize their assets if they do not pay.

Mo’Nique had an interesting 2015 after revealing that Hollywood had left her out in the cold after she didn’t “play the game” when it came to promoting her Oscar-winning turn in “Precious” a few years back.

It appears that little lapse of work might have gotten her and her manager boo Sidney in some hot water with the feds, since the duo spent two consecutive years dodging the IRS and refusing to pay up. Via MailOnline:

Academy Award winner Mo’Nique and her husband are accused of not paying their taxes for two years – and now the government says they owe nearly $400,000.

The IRS filed a Federal Tax Lien against Mo’Nique and Sidney Hicks on May 9, according to official records in Georgia obtained by Daily Mail Online.
