Arian Foster Out With Torn Achilles

This is one Sunday the Houston Texans will want back.

The Texans star running back Arian Foster is believed to have torn his Achilles during the game against the Miami Dolphins. The injury was incurred during the fourth quarter of a blowout loss to the Dolphins. Foster was carted off the field and has yet to be informed of the extent of the injury. A fully torn Achilles would keep Foster out for the remainder of the season. This news comes at the tail end of a 44-26 loss to the Dolphins. Foster was a large contributor in this competition, racking up 125 total yards and always giving the Texans an option out of the backfield as an every down back.

The Texans were coming off of win against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week while the Dolphins were getting adjusted to a new head coach in Dan Campbell. No one expected the Houston Texans to fall behind by 44 points. Some would inquire as to why a valued commodity (and an injury prone player) like Arian Foster was still in the game with an insurmountable deficit. Regardless of the reason the Texans will once again hold their breath as they await news of the severity of the injury to their lead back.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that Arian Foster has torn his Achilles and will be out for the remainder of the season.
