Bali, Indonesia: Masseur Charged in Connection With Sexual Assault of 12-Year-Old Boy

A 47-year-old male masseuse, identified as Abdurrahman, has been charged with sexually harassing a 12-year-old Australian boy at Damen Massage in the Legian area of Kuta, Bali, police said on Tuesday (24/05).

Kuta Police chief Comr. I Wayan Sumara told Okezone.com that the victim, who was identified by his initials R.M., visited the massage parlor on Jalan Lebak Bena with his grandmother.

Before the session, the masseuse asked the victim to remove his shorts. During the massage, the masseuse attempted to sexually assault him.

“The victim felt something strange and [reportedly saw the masseuse attempting to place his genitals on the boy’s body]. The victim ran out and complained to his grandmother,” I Wayan explained to reporters.

The victim’s family filed a police report against the massage parlor and masseuse.

If convicted, the suspect could face up to 15 years imprisonment for sexual harassment on a minor, I Wayan confirmed.
