Chris Brown Releases New Single ‘Grass Ain’t Greener’ on Birthday

Chris Brown, born on May 5, 1989, released the song Thursday on iTunes ahead of his upcoming eighth studio album “Heartbreak on a Full Moon,” for which “Grass Ain’t Greener” is the lead single.

Breezy is back. Right in time for his 27th birthday, Chris Brown celebrates with the release of his brand new single “Grass Ain’t Greener.”

The mid-tempo track, which he teased earlier this year, finds the R&B crooner singing about a girl whose player ways got the best of her.

“You used to be the one to talk to on the side / Waiting for my love to break up,” he sings. “It’s crazy how your ass can walk through every night / Actin’ like you been a player / That grass ain’t greener on the other side.”

The song is scheduled to appear on Brown’s upcoming eighth solo album Heartbreak on a Full Moon, which follows last year’s Royalty.

In addition to readying new music and his Welcome to My Life documentary, Breezy will head to Europe later this month on his “One Hell of a Nite Tour.”
