WARREN, MI — Police are investigating the shooting of a would-be bank robber that occurred Monday afternoon at a Citizen’s bank on Van Dyke about three blocks north of Nine Mile in Warren.
The suspect, after being shot, fled and was later found and arrested bleeding on the ground. He was then transported to the hospital and no other injuries have been reported, according to reports.
The older man, who has a permit to carry a concealed pistol, pulled out a handgun and shot the bandit once in each arm and once in a leg, law enforcement authorities said.
Fox 2 News reports the suspect was shot by a concealed pistol license holder multiple times.
