Dashcam Video Shows Woman Driving With Tree Stuck In Her Car

Here’s a good reason not to drink and drive.

A woman in Roselle, Illinois, was pulled over after she was spotted driving around with an tree—that’s right, an entire tree—stuck in the hood of her car.

Police said the tree was about 15 feet tall.

“We didn’t stand there and measure it, but it was a big tree,” Roselle Deputy Chief Roman Tarchala told the Chicago Tribune. The department said the woman was stopped in January, but it only released the video and photos of the smashed-up car this week.

Maryann Christy, the driver, said she slammed into a tree in Schaumburg, but she wasn’t sure exactly where.

Officers noticed that the airbags in her 2004 Lincoln were deployed, WLS-TV reported.

The department said the woman smelled of alcohol, and she failed field sobriety tests. Police said she was then cited for driving under the influence and is due to appear in a DuPage County court on April 15.

“Yet another reason why you should not drink and drive!” Roselle police wrote in a Facebook post.
