DC’s ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Trailer Shows Time-Traveling Team in Action

The CW has released the first full trailer for midseason superhero spinoff “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” showing the ragtag bunch of heroes — and antiheroes — traveling through time to defeat immortal villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).

The series stars a number of characters who have previously been introduced on The CW’s “Arrow” and “The Flash” including Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee); Ray Palmer/the Atom (Brandon Routh); Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz); both halves of Firestorm, Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh); Mick Rory/Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell); and Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), along with newcomers Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and Carter Hall/Hawkman (Falk Hentschel).

“I’ve seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall,” Rip ominously warns in the promo, name-checking two of the DC universe’s most memorable heroes. “Your entire 21st century world will suffer.”

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will premiere Thursday, January 21 at 8 p.m. before the season three premiere of “The 100.”
