Emilia Clarke Named Esquire’s ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ 2015

Esquire announced Emilia Clarke as the “Sexiest Woman Alive” of 2015.

Clarke, most known for her role as the fierce Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’S Game of Thrones, and as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys, was name the title following a topless photoshoot for November’s issue of the magazine. In this issue, there’s a photography spread of the beautiful brunette, but what is more interesting is the interview in which Clarke accompanies interviewer Benjamin Markovits to “Game of Phones.” The activity is designed to help new Londoners meet people, so Markovits dresses Clarke up in disguise and go as an alias under “Lilly”. Nobody recognizes her, which is especially ironic when someone drops the line, “It’s not porn, it’s HBO.”

Clarke recalled some difficulties on the show early in the first season of Game of Thrones. She was just 23. There was full frontal nudity with Kahl Drogo, lots of sex, even a rape scene. She tells Markovits the emotional struggle along with those scenes.images (1)
“Once, I had to take a little time out,” she said. “I said I needed a cup of tea, had a bit of a cry, and was ready for the next scene.”to elaborate, Markovits sums Clarke up as a , “Half pal, half dominatrix. Half kid sister, half sexy queen. The movie star who plays, in her real life, an anonymous, funny beauty. This is the gorgeous balance of Emilia Clarke.”

This has been a rather successful year for the 28-year-old Clarke. Who, i
n September was named GQ’s “Women of the Year”. Now she has another flaunting title that is well-deserved.

The November issue of Esquire is out in stores now.
