Finding Dory's Two New Characters

Finding Dory’s Two New Characters

We all definitely remember Finding Nemo! Being a voracious Disney fan, I find Pixar movies especially adorable. I recently finally watched Inside Out and am very anxious to delve into the new movie that has been in theatres since November 25, 2015, The Good Dinosaur. These precious jewels, whether it is Toy Story 1, 2,  and 3, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc.  and Monsters University, to name a few, or any of the other Pixar movies I grew up with, are indispensible and always memorable.

Anyway, so you may remember the characters from Finding Nemo, like Marlon, Dory, Nigel the Pelican, Bruce the Shark, Crush the Turtle; the list goes on. In the new, second installment of this gem of a movie from the earlier 2000’s, Finding Dory will introduce two new characters for us to love and remember in the future. The two are Bailey the Beluga Whale and Destiny the Whale Shark. The two are voiced by familiar faces, and the two voices are from the two popular TV shows, “Modern Family” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” If you were not able to guess it yet based on that title, the two are Ty Burrell and Kaitlin Olson.

Bailey the Beluga is voiced by Ty Burrell, who recently also played a voice in the film based on an older cartoon, Mr. Peadbody and Sherman. Olson plays Destiny the Whale Shark. Ty Burrell even reported that his character has trouble with his sonar capabilities as Destiny, Olson’s character, has trouble with swimming straight.

According to the Telegraph, the two will even join Idris Elba and Diane Keaton to voice characters in this film. The film will be released on June 17, 2016.
