Former ABC ‘Good Morning America’ Host Josh Elliott Says He Is Leaving NBC Sports

Josh Elliott told The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday that he left NBC. The move comes less than two years after he joined the network from ABC. NBC said in a statement they “mutually decided to part ways.”


By Ross A. Lincoln It was back in March 2014 that then-Good Morning America host Josh Elliottaccepted an offer to jump to NBC Sports. Today, he’s off the team. “Josh and NBC Sports mutually decided to part ways,” an NBC spokesperson told Deadline, “and we wish him the best of luck in the future.”

Elliott was part of the GMA team that wrested the morning-show ratings crown away from Today after the NBC stalwart’s 16-year stranglehold on the No. 1 spot. Soon after that milestone was reached…
