Former NBA Player Delonte West Found Shoeless in Hospital Robe by Jack in The Box

A basketball fan noticed the ex Cleveland Cavaliers player, who was previously diagnosed with bipolar disorder, near the fast food eatery. He quickly approached him, and asked, “Are you Delonte West?”

The man in question — who was wearing a hospital gown over a flannel shirt — replied, “I used to be, but I’m not about that life anymore,” TMZ reports.

The young NBA fanatic posted a picture from the bizarre encounter, writing, “Another pic of ex nba player #delontewest bro had hospital robe on like he escaped from the psych ward or some s—t.”

Delonte left professional basketball 2012, after amassing $16 million while playing for the Cavs, Boston Celtics, and Dallas Mavericks.

Despite the mentally ill athlete’s talent — including 4,000 total career points — much of his time in sports was marred by scandal. It’s rumored he had sex with the mother of his then-teammate, superstar Lebron James, in 2010.

The on-court guard was also arrested for weapons possession and speeding in 2009.

We hope Delonte gets the help he needs soon.
