Jimmy Fallon Hurts Hand at Harvard University

Jimmy Fallon was back in the hospital last night, just a few months after his most recent hand injury over the summer. where he almost severed his finger.

The late night host was accepting an award at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts  on Saturday when he tripped and fell and had to be rushed to the Massachusetts General Hospital, People Magazine reports. The Tonight Show host was being honored by the Harvard Lampoon—the university’s humor magazine—with the Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor, which is the first time the coveted prize has been awarded this century.

According to a witness, “It was all part of the celebration in the street and some random girl kneeled down in front of him abruptly as he was turning around and he tripped over her because he didn’t see her.”

Another attendee caught the whole thing on video, showing Fallon falling as he was walking around with a bottle of Jaegermeister in his hand.

 Fallon updated fans on his condition Sunday by sharing an Instagram picture with his hand. “Nothing that a few band aids couldn’t fix,” the caption read.
