Johnny Depp’s Ex Vanessa Paradis Defends Him from Domestic Violence Allegations

Actor Johnny Depp has confirmed that he and Amber Heard, his wife of fifteen months, will be getting divorced. Heard has accuse Depp of domestic violence against her and on Friday a judge granted her an order of protection from the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star. Pictures have surfaced of her with what appear to be bruises on her face.

It is an accusation Depp has declined to respond to directly and those close to him refuse to believe.

“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life,” a representative for Depp said on Thursday. “Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”

Depp’s former partner, Vanessa Paradis, wrote a letter adamantly defending him from the accusation that he was capable of domestic violence.

“Johnny Depp is the father of my two children, he is a sensitive, loving and loved person,” Paradis allegedly wrote in a letter to TMZ.

“I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations made are outrageous, in all the years I have known Johnny he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years.”

Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, posted on Instagram in defense of her father.

“My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same.”
