Kansas City Royals Top New York Mets in GM 4

The Kansas City Royals do not want to bring the series back home.

After trailing for much of a pivotal Game Four the Royals scratched out a victory against the New York Mets to take a 3-1 lead in the World Series. The Mets had every opportunity to pull out the win and bring the series even at two games each if not for a crucial error committed by second baseman Daniel Murphy. Murphy missed a simple ground ball that allowed the Royals to score their third run of the game and tie things up. Afterwards the Mets bats went silent while the Royals notched two more runs on the scoreboard for good measure.

The Mets now have to win three straight games in a row to win the World Series. That would include winning two games at Kansas City, a feat they were unable to achieve at the beginning of this series. The Royals’ only strong showing came in Game Two, but they’ve been coming out on top in the close contests. Unless the Mets can let their bats crack in the next game the Royals will take home the championship.

Game Five will air tonight at 8PM on Fox.
