Kansas State University Marching Band Apologizes for ‘offensive’ Halftime Show

Halfway through Kansas State’s opening game against South Dakota, the team’s marching band attempted a halftime performance showing a University of Kansas Jawhawk (the school’s rival) being attacked by the starship enterprise.

But if that’s what it was supposed to be, it didn’t really turn out that way. Twitter immediately noticed that Jayhawk vs. Starship enterprise actually looked like something a little more NSFW.

Apparently recognizing the mistake, the school quickly released a statement of apology and published its drill sheet of what the show was supposed to look like.
