Kanye West Update: ‘The Hardest Job For Him Now Is To Get Clean,’ Says Source

Kanye West is out of the hospital following his mental breakdown, but sources say “the hardest job for him now is to get clean.” The rapper reportedly needs effective intervention, not more drugs. Did his boozing and cocktail of drugs lead to his meltdown?

At the time of his psychotic break, Kanye West was reportedly drowning in booze and drugs. According to insiders, the rapper ended up handcuffed to a stretcher and on suicide watch in the hospital.

Radar Online reported that the troubled rapper had been using booze and prescription pills to cope with his mental issues for over a decade. His supposed addiction sent him into a deep depression, which reportedly led to his meltdown.

“Kanye’s drugs of choice are cocaine and booze, Hennessy specifically. He’s got big problems!”

The outspoken rapper has boasted about his mental issues in his music, specifically the antidepressant Lexapro. West even referred to “episodes” that occurred in the past.

“See, before I let you go
One last thing I need to let you know
You ain’t never seen nothing crazier than
This nigga when he off his Lexapro
Remember that last time in Mexico?
Remember that last time, the episode?”

Kanye’s reality star wife, Kim Kardashian, has allegedly been aware of the rapper’s drug binges all along, but it has definitely caused a riff in their relationship.

“Kanye would go to a drug den hangout in West Hollywood to get away from everything.”

The Life of Pablo rapper would apparently disappear for days, even weeks at a time, to do drugs and escape from the reality of his life.

“He’d disappear for days or weeks at a time. He and Kim had huge bust-ups over it.”

On November 21, Kanye’s woes peaked with a “medical emergency.” The 39-year-old musician reportedly began “acting erratically” at a gym in Los Angeles. West’s personal physician summoned for help, and 911 was called.

Dr. Michael Farzam told emergency responders that West suffered from “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.

The rapper lashed out at the medics who responded to the scene, which prompted them to handcuff him to a stretcher en route to the hospital, according to law enforcement sources.

“He got all kinds of crazy and delusional because he was high as a kite. He hadn’t slept, was high for days and began having hallucinations and paranoia.”

A friend of over two decades told reporters that West had previously been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

“When his mother was alive she kept him on those meds. She was his rock. After she passed away nine years ago, he just went crazy [on hard-core drugs].”

The antidepressant Kanye West was said to be taking Lexapro, which is used to treat anxiety and depression. However, the drug can also cause detrimental side effects like electric shock sensations to the brain, sexual dysfunction, and hallucinations.
