Kanye West Will Stay in Hospital for ‘Several More Days’ — as Kim Kardashian Spends Thanksgiving Morning by His Side

Kanye West is still on the road to recovery.

A source tells PEOPLE that West, who was hospitalized Monday for exhaustion and sleep deprivation, remains at UCLA Medical Center and is “expected to stay for several more days.”

The source says the rapper’s wife Kim Kardashian West went to the hospital Thursday morning to visit him and remained by his side for a few hours before making her way to her family’s Thanksgiving celebration, which will be held at Kylie Jenner‘s Calabasas home.

According to the insider, the couple’s two kids — daughter North, 3, and Saint, 11 months – are currently with Kardashian West’s mother Kris Jenner.

Another source previously told PEOPLE that West, whose hospitalization came shortly after he canceled the remaining 21 dates of his Saint Pablo tour, was “extremely sleep deprived and had not been taking care of himself.”

On Wednesday the insider said that West, 39, is “starting to feel more like himself.”

“He understands that getting help at the hospital was necessary,” said the source. “He is resting and getting help. They are taking it day by day.”

Meanwhile, Kardashian West, 36, has been making her husband a priority: She rushed back from New York City to Los Angeles on Monday — skipping out on the 2016 Angel Ball — and has spent most of her time by West’s side.

“As soon as she heard, all she cared about was getting to Kanye,” a source told PEOPLE on Wednesday. “She was so worried and didn’t feel better until she was with him.”

“She of all people knew how hard he had been pushing himself,” added the insider.
