Katy Perry to Perform at ‘Cinema Against AIDS’ Event During Cannes Film Festival

Katy Perry will be the headlining performer at the 23rd annual Cinema Against AIDS amfAR event. Perry joins the amfAR global campaign chairs Sharon Stone, Kevin Spacey, Milla Jovovich, Adrien Brody, Heidi Klum, Carine Roitfeld, and Harvey Weinstein at the event, which this year will take place on May 19.

The 2016 Cannes film festival will run from May 11 through the 22nd, and the Cinema Against AIDS event, held at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, is known for drawing the biggest, buzziest celebrities of the festival.

In addition to Perry’s performance, Roitfeld will curate a fashion show comprised of a range of designers.

The fundraiser has pulled in over $170 million in AIDS research money in the 20-plus years it has been held.
