Malibu, California: Driver Escapes From Dangling SUV on Cliff, Then Gets Hit by Bus

A motorist who managed to escape driving over a cliff was hit by a bus as soon as he got out of the car.

The driver, who has not been named, was having an extremely bad day on Sunday evening when his silver SUV crashed into the barrier at the side of the road, dangling precariously over the edge.

He had been going into the corner while driving in Malibu, California when the car went off the road.

Dramatic images show just how close a call it was.

The driver managed to climb out without upsetting the balance of the car and sending it into free-fall, but as he tried to cross the road, a tour bus hit him,.

He survived and was conscious when paramedics arrived, police said on Facebook.

His current condition is unknown but he is being treated in hospital.

A spokesperson for Lost Hills Sheriffs Station said: ‘This is another reminder of the need to drive safely through the canyons of our beautiful area and to use extreme caution at the scene of a traffic collision.’
