Man in Custody After Shooting at Officers during Standoff in Warren, Michigan

WARREN, Mich. – Warren police say a person is in custody after shots were fired at officers Tuesday morning near Van Dyke Avenue and Toepfer Road.

Van Dyke Avenue was closed in both directions at Toepfer Road but has since reopened. The shots were fired in the 7500 block of Chalmers Road, which is north of Toepfer Road.

Warren police said no one was injured and that they have a suspect in custody.

It’s not clear what prompted this shooting.
