Man Wanted for Attempted Murder of 11-Month-Old Baby

An 11-month-old baby boy is fighting for his life in the hospital, and in the meantime, police are searching for the man who they believe tried to end it.

Pinellas Park investigators said they were called to All Children’s Hospital last Sunday, July 5th, after receiving reports of the baby boy’s condition.

He reportedly had a severe head injury and bleeding on his brain from being kicked, punched and bitten- nearly to death.

Detectives say probable cause led them to 31-year-old Glen Franklin Neal, Jr., who’s now wanted for attempted murder.

They have not yet said what Neal’s relationship is with the baby, but they did say Neal was at the home with him when it happened, and was responsible for his care.

Neal has a violent criminal history, including arrests for child neglect, resisting arrest, fleeing to elude, cocaine possession and battery upon a law enforcement officer.

Investigators ask anyone with information on Neal’s whereabouts to call the police department. You can also submit a tip anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers, 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
