A male victim was fatally struck by a Metrolink train Tuesday morning in the Covina area, causing delays and cancelations for multiple lines.
The person was killed near East Covina Boulevard and North Sunflower Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Gregory said. The incident occurred near the unincorporated Charter Oak community.
Metrolink first reported the deadly incident around 7:30 a.m., saying SB 311 hit a person on the track.
SB Line 311 to Los Angeles is struck a person on the tracks between Pomona North and Covina. Delays are unknown, updates to follow.

Several lines were subsequently canceled, including SB 302, SB 306, VC 905, SB 304 and SB 319, Metrolink tweeted.
SB Line 306 passengers were told to board SB 308, VC Line 905 passengers heading to Burbank’s Bob Hope Airport were told to take train 907, SB 304 passengers should take 306, and SB Line 319 passengers were told to board SB 321.
