In the Star Wars franchise, Anakin Skywalker started out a child. He met Queen Amidala when he was young, and grew fond of the queen. Padme (Queen Amidala) and Anakin met again years later and passions grew more.
Anakin, because of his unbridled love, grew fervent and impulsive. At the same time, Skywalker traveled to the planet of Tatooine, where he found his mother captured. Soon after, she died, and Anakin sought revenge, killing off the population of the people that captured his mother. As Obi-Wan Kinobi was constantly told that the boy, referring to Skywalker, is dangerous, it proved true. Anakin was lured to the dark side indeed.
Then, before dying, Padme gave birth to twins Luke and Leia. Luke, Anakin’s son, was also being lured to the darkside, which brings back Anakin’s words, “Luke, I am your father.” This did not happen, and in the later installment, we saw Rey, a female human scavenger, and Finn, a former Stormtrooper, BB-8, Poe’s (a talented pilot) droid, Maz Kanata, Han Solo, and Chewbacca, have quite an adventure, ultimately traveling and deafeating Kylo Ren.
Before this, though, Han Solo tries to talk to his son, Kylo Ren, who is also Ben Solo, as Ben’s mother, General Leia, requests. Han is tricked and killed by Ren, and then the Resistance destroys the planet, defeating Ren.
At the end of the film, Rey travels to the planet of Ahch-to and presents Luke Skywalker with the lightsaber she used to battle Kylo Ren.
If you can see a pattern here, all of the chosen Jedi fighters are being tempted to the dark side. Can Rey be the next? A new theory from a fan says so. Basically, the fan, Alex Diedrick of Uproxx.com, suggests that, according to the novel adaptation, Rey is told to kill Kylo Ren, pointing to the idea that Rey is being lured to the dark side. Also, the fan says Rey learns from Kylo Ren, not from the Jedi; like Anakin, she gives into her own anger throughout, according to Diedrick.
A poll on Metro.co.uk reflects that 58% of those that voted on the poll do not think the theory hold true and that Rey will not be turned into a villain, where 42% of the votes do think this can happen!
