Open-Carry Gun Activists Hold March to City Hall to Demonstrate 2nd Ammendment Right

FERGUSON, MO (KPLR) – About a dozen open-carry activists held a march to demonstrate their 2nd amendment rights in Ferguson. Members of the media appear to be outnumbering marchers to city hall on this rainy Monday. A Eureka gun shop owner organized the event. Sam Andrews tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that several black residents told him they would probably be shot if they tried to carry weapons in public. “We intend to show that this right is not just for white people,” said Andrews, who is white. County Executive Steve Stenger has criticized the group for holding the event. He says they are, “inflaming a situation that is already inflamed.”
