OHSU Doernbecher and Nike 2014 Freestyle Collection

Despite Nike‘s Doernbecher
releases always being highly sought-after due to its aesthetic appeal,
the cause behind it is the final winner as it empowers patients at the
hospital through design and has raised nearly $8 million USD since its
inception. Now in its 11th year, the two have come together again to
produce this Freestyle collection that encompasses one-of-a-kind
apparel, footwear and equipment designs to showcase the inspirations as
well as the aspirations of six young, talented patient-designers.
Footwear options include silhouettes such as the Stefan Janoski Max,
Nike Free 5.0, Jordan Retro 8 and more with special renditions that
reflect stories personal to the patients. The OHSU Doernbecher x Nike
Freestyle collection will be available beginning November 23 at Nike’s online store and
at select Nike retail locations, with all proceeds from the sales of
the collection benefitting OHSU Doernbecher. Head over here to find out more about the stories of the six young patients and the inspirations behind their designs.
