Oregon Rogue Community College Evacuated After Bomb Threats

GRANTS PASS — Multiple bomb threats have forced campus-wide evacuations at Rogue Community College in southern Oregon.

Police scanner traffic indicated a bomb threat was reported at the Rogue Community College Redwoods campus in Grants Pass at about 10 a.m. Monday morning.

RCC officials said both campuses and its main campus in Medford were being evacuated as a precaution. About 5,000 students attend RCC.

Josephine County Sheriff’s Office deputies were evacuating students and staff from the Grants Pass campus and cordoning off classrooms Monday morning.

On Friday, a “non-specific threat” shut down Southwestern Community College in Coos Bay, a day after a shooter killed nine people at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg.
