Paul Pogba Transfer to Manchester United Finished

After weeks of confusion and conflicting reports about the impending transfer of Paul Pogba, the former Juventus midfielder returns to Old Trafford. Pogba, 23, left Manchester United after failing to come to an agreement with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson just four years ago. Pogba made seven appearances for United before signing with Juventus in 2012.

New boss Jose Mourinho completed his set of marquee signings by adding Pogba for a world-record $116 million yesterday. This season, Pogba will feature in a new look United squad controlling the midfield alongside new signee Henrik Mkhitryan. Pogba and United agreed to a five year contract with a fifth year player option.

Other Summer transfers include Eric Bailly, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The new signings equal a return to prominence for United and its fans.

Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola will receive over 20 million euros for the transfer. And after completing his medical, Pogba dances in an exciting new ad on United’s instagram alongside grime rapper Stormzy.

Pogba quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young players in the world with untapped potential in his time at Juventus. The expectations were high going into Euro 2016. However Pogba failed to manifest fully what people expect from him, only showing flashes of excellence. But now he has arrived at a new home and has time to grow as a player. The bad blood between the two parties remains in the past.

The world-record move will be met with expectations of a league title and Champions League bid next year. Jose Mourinho’s revolution continues this Sunday against Bournemouth in the opening weekend of the 2016-17 Premier League season.
