Python vs. Gator: Photo Shows Alligator Biting Python on Golf Course in Lely Resort, Fla.

It was a good weekend to be a Gator. While the football-playing Gators in Gainesville were beating Vanderbilt, down in Southwest Florida a gator put a big bite on a python on a golf course.

The Classics Country Club at Lely Resort posted on its Facebook page a photo taken by member Pat Aydelott, showing a big alligator chomping down on an equally big python. It apparently happened at the The Golf Club at Fiddler’s Creek, located between Naples and Marco Island.

“Our Member, Pat Aydelott took this great shot while playing Fiddlers Creek down the street from us. Pat – can you get closer next time so the photo isn’t so grainy? Thank you”

That’s something most people would not recommend.
