Roaches force closing of Seffner Cracker Barrel

SEFFNER, Florida — Cracker Barrel is known for its country fresh cooking. But the chain’s Seffner location had major problems many customers might not know about.

The location on Lazy Days Boulevard at Interstate 4 and the Mango Road exit was shut down as an emergency closure Sept. 1 with 37 violations.

The issues written up by a state health inspector included raw beef stored over the cheese sauce and gravy, temperature violations on potentially hazardous foods and more than 50 live roaches found in reach-in coolers along the cook line, near the shake unit, and all around the microwave.
