You had one job, man. The easiest job.
The last time we sat down to chat about Scott Disick, we were exploring the lucrative world of club appearances. Disick, once of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame, now mostly famous in my mind for the best Instagram caption of 2016, is one of the great Internet hustlers of the modern era. This makes it all the more surprising, then, that today Disick accidentally included his Instagram advertising directions IN THE INSTAGRAM.

My first instinct: Dude, you had one job. Second: Literally, this is your one job. Not hyperbole! Jezebel wrote in January—eons in Internet time, so it’s probably even higher—that Disick makes between $15,000 and $20,000 for a sponsored post. These days, sponsored Instagram posts are the hip marketing strategy of choice, and I have no resentment about Scott Disick taking money from whatever company wants Scott Disick as its brand ambassador. In fact, I have great respect for this facet of Scott Disick’s life—getting paid to do things other people don’t get paid to do but still do anyway. But beyond the fact that he didn’t even look at something he was getting paid thousands to do, it’s his previous Bootea advertisement that makes his laziness here all the more shocking:

It’s a clever disguise—he took off his hoodie and went to the opposite side of his kitchen—but upon further investigation, I will venture to say that these photos were taken within 90 seconds of each other. This man is paid to Instagram, and he does it with approximately 700 times less effort than the guy at brunch one table over last Saturday. And don’t even get me started on the all-hands-on-deck meeting I imagine is taking place at Bootea U.K. right now. This is the last time we put all our eggs in Scott Disick’s basket!
