Kate Moss is one of the highest-paid supermodels in the world, but that isn’t her only talent. Not only did the blonde beauty recently make her foray into interior design with her friends’ Cotswolds’ country house, she is also a dab hand in the kitchen.
Speaking to HELLO! Fashion Monthly in a joint interview with her good friend and fellow supermodel, Cara Delevingne, Kate reveals that she makes jam better than Jamie Oliver.
Asked what her secret talent is, she replied: “I make jam and oh my God, it is so delicious.
“My signature jam is damson or quince and it’s called Kate’s Sweet and Sticky. Basically I’m a domestic goddess.
“I gave it to Jamie Oliver and his kids texted my kid (13-year-old Lila Grace) the next day, saying: ‘Oh, your mum’s jam is really good, we just had some and it’s better than Dad’s’. Take that Jamie Oliver.”
Cara, 23, added playfully: “She’s the next Jamie Oliver. I love it.”
The pair also opened up on their varying social media habits. While Kate, 41, stays away from social media accounts, using them only for “spying”, Cara has captured a whole new generation with 20 million followers on social media and a tongue-in-cheek attitude to the industry.
Kate said: “I don’t really care about people who post what they’re eating or the weather.”
Her friend Cara agreed that when it comes to food, she tends to trust the well-established chefs: “Yeah, people post pictures of food but I’ll refer to a chef if I want to know about food.”
It seems that Kate truly is a goddess both on and off the catwalk. Her friends, whose house she recently designed, recently said of their friend that she is “very domesticated” and has a “very natural side to her” – hence why she loves spending time in her Cotswolds home.
