Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Charge Police Officer in Death of Infant Son

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says it has charged a West Tennessee police officer with murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of his infant son.

The TBI said in a statement on Thursday that agents arrested Paris police officer Christopher Warren Page and he is being held without bond in the Carroll County Jail.

The charges stem from the death of 2-month-old Gunner Page, who suffered life-threatening injuries at his home in Puryear on Sept. 2 and died five days later.

The statement said agents investigating the death developed information leading them to believe Christopher Page caused his son’s injuries.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Page has an attorney.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
