Truck Carrying Raw Sewage Overturns on Interstate 285 Ramp

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — A tanker carrying raw sewage overturned on the ramp from Georgia 400 southbound to Interstate 285 eastbound Friday morning.

The ramp is closed as crews work to clear the scene. Several lanes of I-285 are also closed.

Officers say the truck is spilling the sewage water and diesel fuel onto the interstate.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and no one was seriously injured.

Officers do not know what caused the truck to overturn.
