Trump Gets Away with Mean Comments, While Hillary Clinton Faces Backlash for One Comment About His Supporters

So Hillary Clinton said that Trump supporters fit into a “basket of deplorables.” The media has criticized her profusely and I believe it is all I have been hearing lately. The negative reactions from many people are highly problematic. Here’s why.

First of all, I do not believe that Hillary Clinton meant to offend anyone. She was saying something euphemistically that Trump would say maliciously and explicitly. Maybe she meant to appreciate her supporters. Trust me, Hillary cares about everyone, no matter who they plan to vote for. Please consider her intentions before you brutally chastise her.

Second of all, where was all of this criticism when Trump called Mexicans (generalizing Hispanics as Mexican, which shows his ignorance and incompetence for presidency) “rapists”, he called African Americans “lazy”, he used obscene language for children because of the fact that they cannot vote, he has incessantly patronized women and called them all kinds of names, he has notably used general anti-Catholic rhetoric, and he has profusely attacked the Muslim community and the religion of Islam, verbally.

Are you really going to not vote for Hillary because of one setback she has had? Trump supporters are so loyal that they overlook his completely inexcusable comments and bigotry to still support him and vote for him.

Face it, people! Hillary has experience, intelligence, competency, capability, and the list goes on. This year, we cannot let anything get in the way of us voting against Trump or for Hillary. We cannot let Trump have a place in the White House but we should let Hillary have that place. I genuinely believe Hillary is a wonderful choice for our country, and I am not the only one who thinks so.
