Tyrannosaurus Rex May Have Had Lips That Hid Teeth, Research Suggests

Today the world learned that Tyrannosaurus Rex probably had lips.

The notion is no too far fetched, but the idea of imagining T-Rex, the most vicious of the dinosaurs with lips is kind of hilarious.

This idea, presented by researchers at the University of Toronto, makes the ferocious beast way less threatening.

All jokes aside, the theory in not that much of a stretch.

An article in The Guardian describes how the scientists looked at today’s reptiles and realized that these beasts had to protect their enamel somehow. Hence the lips.

So basically scientists are saying that instead of alligator-esque mouths. T-Rex mouths looked more like lizards.

As in these guys:

Now imaging a gigantic version of that with teeny-weeny arms. *insert crying laughing emoji here*

Okay, so it probably looked more like a komodo dragon, but it’s still hilarious.
