USA Wins 2nd Straight Olympic Gold in Women’s Team Gymnastics

The U.S. women’s gymnastics team came in with all the pressure to perform, and it delivered a performance for the ages.

Simone Biles, a three-time world champion and first-time Olympian, threw down the hammer on her floor routine to give Team USA 184.897 points and the gold medal.

Russia won silver with 176.988 points, and China took bronze with 176.003 points.

Team USA—Biles, Aly Raisman, Lauren Hernandez, Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian—lived up to the hype and rose to the occasion at every turn, flip, tumble and landing.

That’s 184.897 points for Team USA. What a performance. Russia came in second with 176.988 points, while China took bronze with 176.003 points.
