VEEP Star Julia Louis-Dreyfus Roasts Donald Trump At The Emmy’s

Congratulations to Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who won the 2015 Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for her portrayal of Selina Meyer on Veep.

“I think it would be appropriate at this moment to quote our political satire Veep,” she said during her acceptance speech. “What a great honor it must be for you to honor me tonight”

She quickly quipped, “Oh God, no! Donald Trump said that!”

Louis-Dreyfus said it’s “getting trickier to satirize” the GOP presidential candidate during her acceptance speech on Sunday for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
