VIDEO Incredible View of Noccalula Falls Park at Flood Levels

Crowds of onlookers gathered to take pictures and shoot videos of Gadsden’s Noccalula Falls Park this morning, swelled by heavy rains and shooting steam into the air.

Parts of Etowah County saw 20 inches of rainfall over a 24 hour period during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, according to the county’s Emergency Management Agency. Roads in parts of the county remain impassable, and Etowah County remains under a flood warning through Monday morning.

But that didn’t keep people from coming to see the water rushing over the falls’ 90-foot drop, swelling in the gorge beneath and even rushing around the park’s footbridge upstream.
