2-year-old Riley Curry stole the show Tuesday night when Steph brought her to the podium following Golden State’s Game 1 victory over the Houston Rockets … and she hammed it up like a champ!
Several members of the media bitched that Riley’s antics made it difficult for reporters to do their jobs … including two big shots from ESPN — Brian Windhorst and Skip Bayless.
But NBA Sr. VP of Communications Tim Frank said there is no current policy against players bringing their kids to the podium … and there are no plans to change it, despite the criticism.
By the way some talent agencies LOVED Riley — and think she displayed real “star quality” last night.
Just sayin’ …
Curry’s daughter, wearing an olive dress by nununu and a stylish bowed headband, suddenly bum-rushed the stage which prompted the flustered parent to tell his little one: “You stand right there.”
“I want to sit on your lap!” whined Riley, as she assumed a spot onstage with her father. As Curry, 27, attempted to continue the presser, his admiring little one looked up with a cute smile and chirped: “You’re too loud, daddy! Be quiet.”
It was also clearly past Riley’s bedtime as she interrupted her dad’s event at one point to yawn and stretch her arms. She then greeted the audience of reporters, producers, and crew members seated in the room with a regal right-handed wave.
At one point, she got bored and ducked her head beneath the blue-clothed table.
The Golden State Warriors’ official Twitter account posted a photo of little Riley using the table as a fort and peering out with curiosity at reporters. “A picture truly is worth a thousand words,” the photo was captioned. That tweet alone has already garnered close to 13,000 retweets as of Wednesday afternoon.

Her dad later joked: “She is just like this! She’s only 2, it’s the craziest thing ever.”
