Whoopi Goldberg Cuts Show Short After Tour Bus Catches Fire

Whoopi Goldberg was forced to cut a show in New Brunswick short after her tour bus caught on fire Saturday night, according to multiple media reports.

The tour bus was parked outside of Casino New Brunswick, where Goldberg was preforming. According to Canada’s CBC News, a witness said audience members could smell smoke near the end of the comedian’s show, and that the hundreds of audience members calmly evacuated the auditorium.

The IAFF Local 771 Saint John Firefighters Association Facebook page posted a photo of firefighters with Goldberg Sunday morning, saying the “The View” co-host posed for a photo with the firefighters after they extinguished the tour bus fire.

It’s currently unclear what caused the fire, though police told the Canadian Press that it is believed to be electrical. No injuries have been reported.

Goldberg’s rep did not immediately respond to request for comment, and neither her Twitter page nor her Facebook page has commented on the incident.
