A woman in Rockland County near New York City faces serious charges after being accused of tying her 4-year-old son to a bush while she went to babysit. Mery Isabel Quinde Castro, 22, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Her son was found alone, tied to a bush outside an apartment block by his own mother. He was tied to a bush for about 30 minutes Tuesday morning.
According to police, her child, did not want to go into their apartment,so she tied him to the bush until she could get him inside.
The boy was tied to the bush using the leash to his backpack, while the mother was babysitting other children in the building. She decided the little boy needed a time out.
But Castro’s sister claims the young mother had no choice saying the boy was acting wild and that Castro was not a bad mother.
